Spence Harrison & Max Jacquiard with "A Bright Future"

Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Spence grew up in a family of railroaders: his father, uncles, and grandfather all worked on the railroad. Little wonder he would be fascinated with railroading (one of the major themes in his art).

Spence began his life as an artist at the age of 8, winning 2nd prize at a juried art show for his painting, which was then displayed in the window of Hudson’s Bay Company.

Not limited to one theme, however, Spence has also created a number of portraits and commissioned works.

Spence creates works of depth, dimension, and movement.

Spence’s work has exhibited at solo art shows at Place des Arts in Coquitlam, BC, and at juried art shows including the Langley Art Walk and Seymour Art Gallery in Deep Cove, BC. Spence is a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and the Port Moody Art Association.
